UKW40.Ukrainian sleeve patch for the 79th Separate Air Assault Brigade. Based in Mykolaiv. Units of the brigade took part in the battles for Sloviansk, and later in various areas of the front in eastern Ukraine. After the Russian invasion of 2022 it defended Severodonetsk and Lyman. In the fall of 2022 it took part in the Kherson counteroffensive. In 2024-2025 it took part in the battles in the Donetsk region, the city of Kurakhove. Velcro backing.
