Established in 2015, the PLA Strategic Support Force was the high-tech branch responsible
for space, cyber, electronic, and psychological warfare operations. In early 2024, the SSF
was reorganized and split into independent arms (the Aerospace Force, Cyberspace Force,
and Information Support Force), making this specific service-wide arm patch obsolete and
a distinct historical piece from that era.
