B25.Russian breast badge for the Russian Internal Troops (VV MVD) Special Purpose Detachment “Vityaz” (6th OSN “Vityaz”).
Originally formed in 1977 as an elite anti-terror unit within the Dzerzhinsky Division (ODON) to prepare for the 1980 Moscow Olympics,
“Vityaz” became famous for pioneering the grueling “Maroon Beret” (Krapovyi Beret) qualification tests. It played a major role in
counter-terrorism operations across the Caucasus during the 1990s and 2000s before being reformed under the 1st Special
Purpose Center of the Russian National Guard (Rosgvardia).
