B217.Russian badge for the nuclear-powered strategic ballistic missile submarine K-84 “Ekaterinburg” Delta IV-class.
Commissioned in December 1985 into the Northern Fleet, K-84 was given the name Ekaterinburg in 1999 following
a patronage agreement with the city of Yekaterinburg. Notable for setting a record in 2009 for firing a Sineva SLBM
to a range of 11,547 km, it was later decommissioned in 2022 after decades of strategic deterrence service.
