Description
B12S.Russian breast badge for NCO ranks of the 104th guards para division. Originally formed in 1944
during World War II, the 104th Guards VDV served extensively in the Transcaucasus region
(stationed in Kirovabad/Ganja, Azerbaijan) during the Cold War. Following the collapse of the Soviet Union,
the division relocated to Ulyanovsk in 1993 and was restructured into the 31st Guards Separate Air Assault
Brigade in 1998 (and recently re-expanded back into the 104th Air Assault Division).
