B16S.Russian breast badge for NCO’s of the 36th Separate Airborne Brigade. Originally formed in 1979
in Garbolovo (Leningrad Military District) as an independent air assault brigade, the 36th VDBr served as a
rapid-reaction unit during the late-Soviet period before its eventual disbandment and restructuring into
regional airborne cadre units in the late 1990s.
