B214.Russian badge for the Russian nuclear-powered attack submarine K-419 “Morzh” Akula-I class, later renamed Kuzbass.
Commissioned in December 1992 into the Pacific Fleet, K-419 was originally given the honorific name Morzh in 1993,
continuing the Imperial Russian Navy “animal” naming convention. In January 1998, it was renamed Kuzbass following
a sponsorship agreement with the administration of the Kemerovo Region. It has served as a key nuclear attack submarine
(SSN) in the Pacific Fleet based out of Rybachiy (Kamchatka)
